WUB Organizes Social Welfare Program to Promote Student Engagement and Environmental Awareness

The Department of Business Administration, in collaboration with the WUB Business Club, organized a social welfare program titled “Students’ Involvement and Social Welfare” at the World University of Bangladesh on 13 June 2026. The event aimed to promote social responsibility, environmental awareness, and community engagement among students.

The program was graced by Professor Dr. Selim Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of student participation in social welfare activities and highlighted the role of young people in building a sustainable and environmentally conscious society.

Among the faculty members present at the event were Issa Ahammad, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Business Administration; Abdullah Mohammad Sharif, Assistant Professor; Helaluddin Ahmed, Assistant Professor; Priyanka Das Dona, Assistant Professor; Md. Azim, Assistant Professor; Dr. Sharif Hosen, Senior Lecturer; Md. Amith, Lecturer; and Faiza Noshin Rahman, Lecturer. They appreciated the enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated by the students and encouraged them to remain actively involved in social and environmental initiatives.

As part of the program, students participated in a tree plantation campaign on the university campus to promote environmental sustainability and enhance the green environment. They also conducted a cleanliness drive around the lakeside area, collecting waste and helping maintain a cleaner and healthier campus environment.

A number of members of the WUB Business Club actively participated in the program. The event provided students with an opportunity to develop leadership qualities, teamwork, and civic awareness while contributing positively to the community.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to all faculty members, students, and club members for making the program a success and reaffirmed their commitment to organizing similar initiatives in the future.
