A group of 18 faculty members from various departments of the
World University of Bangladesh (WUB), under the leadership of Professor Dr.
Mohammad Quamruzzaman, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, participated
in a day-long program on Simulation and Digital Innovation jointly organized by
North South University (NSU) and the Bangladesh Society for Modeling and
Simulation (BSMS) on 12 June 2026 at the NSU campus.
The program featured an international seminar titled “Simulation
for Everything: The Future of Digital Innovation,” attended by distinguished
academics, researchers, and professionals from Bangladesh and abroad, including
representatives from the Asia Simulation Federation (ASIASIM) and Beihang
University, China.
The event highlighted the growing importance of modeling,
simulation, and digital technologies in advancing research, innovation, and
interdisciplinary collaboration across science, engineering, healthcare, and
industry.
Among the participants was Md. Toriqul Islam, Lecturer in Mathematics
at the World University of Bangladesh and Convener of the Bangladesh Society
for Modeling and Simulation (BSMS), who contributed to the successful
coordination of the program. His involvement reflects WUB’s active engagement
in national and international academic initiatives that promote research,
innovation, and global collaboration.
