The Career
Counselling Center (CCC) of World University of Bangladesh
(WUB) successfully organized an engaging and interactive
workshop titled "Critical Reading & Note-Taking: The Ultimate GPA
Hack" under its Career Accelerator-18 series on 11 July 2026
at the Founding
Treasurer Morsheda Choudhury Auditorium.
The workshop
aimed to equip students with practical academic strategies to enhance their
critical reading, note-taking, and overall learning skills. With a special
focus on first-year students, the session helped participants develop effective
study habits and adapt smoothly to university-level academic learning.
The program
was graced by Professor Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor of World
University of Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest,
while Prof.
Zaki Imam, Registrar of World University of Bangladesh,
attended as the Special Guest.
The workshop
was facilitated by Md. Nasim Fardose Sajib, Assistant Professor, Department of
English, World University of Bangladesh, who delivered an
interactive session on effective critical reading techniques, evidence-based
note-taking methods, academic study strategies, and the responsible use of AI
tools to enhance learning outcomes.
Students from
various departments actively participated in the session through discussions
and practical exercises, making the workshop both engaging and impactful. The
event received an enthusiastic response from participants, who appreciated its
practical relevance and interactive approach.
