WUB Leads the Way in Sustainable Heritage Tourism Research

The World University of Bangladesh proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of faculty members from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM), Md. Abdul Latif Mahmud, Assistant Professor, and Md. Morsalin, Lecturer, who presented their research at the RMSTU National Tourism Conference 2026, held at Rangamati Science and Technology University.

Their study focuses on the sustainability of tourism at Paharpur, Mahasthangarh, and Puthia Rajbari, offering valuable insights into how heritage preservation, community development, and environmental responsibility can be effectively balanced through data-driven planning. Using the Sustainable Tourism Development (STD) Barometer, the research provides a strategic roadmap for policymakers and stakeholders to safeguard national heritage for future generations.
