The Fashion
Design & Apparel Technology (FDAT) program of the World University of
Bangladesh (WUB) organized an industrial visit to Brannerson Exports, one of
the country’s most technologically advanced garment manufacturers, on February
10, 2025. Around 40 FDAT students participated in the tour, gaining valuable
real-world exposure to the apparel industry.
The visit was warmly hosted by Syed Ansar Ullah, Managing Director, and Md. Touhiduzzaman, Manager (Merchandising & Production In-Charge)—both proud alumni of WUB’s Department of Textile Engineering. They guided the students through various production sections and shared professional insights into industry operations. Notably, over 30 WUB graduates are currently employed at Brannerson Exports, reflecting the university’s growing impact on the sector.
During the
tour, students observed the complete garment manufacturing process, including
pattern and marker making, fabric cutting, sewing, and finishing, while also
learning about the use of advanced apparel machinery.
The visit reinforced WUB’s commitment to providing practical, industry-oriented education that complements theoretical learning. Such initiatives help prepare students as skilled, job-ready professionals capable of contributing to Bangladesh’s dynamic textile and apparel industry.
