Research Project under the Special Research Grant Program 2024-2025 of the Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST), Bangladesh

The Department of Textile Engineering and Fashion Design at World University of Bangladesh (WUB) is actively engaged in advanced research activities aimed at fostering innovation and sustainable development in the textile and related sectors. As part of these efforts, two members of the Department, Md. Mostafizur Rahman and Mohammad Bellal Hoque, were awarded a project under the Special Research Grant Program 2024-2025 by the Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST), Bangladesh, and successfully completed it. Project Title:

Development and Characterization of Locally Available Natural Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene (PP) Matrix Based Partially Degradable Composites for Civil Construction

Achievements:

·         Completed fabrication and characterization of locally available natural fiber-reinforced PP matrix-based partially degradable composites in its own laboratory.

·         Results indicate strong potential for application in civil construction.

·         From this work, three papers have been published in peer-reviewed journal.

Through its dedication to research and innovation, the Department of Textile Engineering is emerging as a catalyst for sustainable development and eco-friendly technological progress in Bangladesh.
