 World University of Bangladesh (WUB) organised a project show-cum-seminar on science, engineering and technology at its auditorium on Saturday.
Dr Mashiur Rahman, Economic Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister, graced the event as chief guest while Professor Dr A.M. Chowdhury, Vice-chancellor of World University of Bangladesh, presided.
Prof. Dr Rezaul Karim Mazumder, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Dhaka University, Prof. Dr M. Kaykobad, HOD, Department of CSE, BUET and Prof. Dr Engr. Mohammad Iqbal, HOD, Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, SUST, were also present on the occasion. |

 World University of Bangladesh organized a program on 21st March 2012, to award Gold Medals to three distinguished persons. The Medals were handed over to Abdul Matin for his contribution in the language movement and Abdur Razzak (Posthumously), and Lieutenant Colonel (rtd) Abu Osman Chowdhury for their contribution in the War of Liberation. The medal of Abdur Razzak was received by his wife Mrs. Farida Razzak and his sons Nahim Razzaak MP and Fahim Razzak. The function was presided over by the university Vice –Chancellor , Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, accompanied with speeches by Mr. Abul Kalam Azad MP, Minister for Information and Cultural Affairs, as the chief guest, Mr. Tofazzal Hossain –a hero of language movement and Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam; Vice –Chancellor, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University as special guest. Morsheda Choudhury, the chairperson of the trustee board of the WUB, welcomed the audience and introduced the university and its activities for the last 10 years.
