Although the formal approval to start operation of the World University of Bangladesh was received on February 26, 2003, the ground work for the university began in early part of 2000, Now the university on entering its 10th year of operation has all needed infrastructural facilities and highly qualified teachers in its 3 faculties and 11 departments with 24 programs at day and evening.
World University of Bangladesh was born on February 26, 2003 with a vision. Some enlightened minds shared with me the same dream – to establish an institution which would nurture brilliance and talent, encourage dedication and innovation. This institution was shaped and structured to create scopes and opportunities for the under-privileged and to guide the youth to their desired future.
From its inception, WUB has tried to pave the path of success and prosperity for those who became part of it. The dream is to develop the future generation who will be our pride and our success. After a decade of growth and achievement, World University of Bangladesh has all the necessary aspects to fulfill the students' expectations. To look back, it was not an easy path to cross. We confronted obstacles – unexpected and unwanted hurdles. Yet, we acknowledge even the simplest supports and cooperation from our well-wishers. We treasured every little memory, realization and attainment, made them our strength and stepped forward with a pledge to ensure utilitarian education for economic emancipation.
